Message from The President

Activities that we have planned all share the common objective of ensuring that Kuala Lumpur has an attractive range of offerings that instill the desire to visit.

Dear Esteemed Members of the KLTA,

It is an honor to reflect on KLTA’s vital role in shaping our vibrant tourism industry. Over the years, KLTA has driven growth and development within our community. My experiences at KLTA events have been enriching, connecting me with influential figures who have shaped Kuala Lumpur’s tourism landscape. These connections underscore the importance of collaboration in advancing our industry.

Our members’ unwavering support has been the foundation of our success, especially during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. KLTA’s resilience is a testament to our unity and determination. As we move forward, with Visit Malaysia Year 2026 on the horizon, we have a golden opportunity to showcase Kuala Lumpur’s unique charm and culture to the world.

I am inspired by the industry’s eagerness to collaborate. Attracting new members and fostering a supportive environment are key priorities. A strong, engaged membership will drive the improvements our industry needs. With your continued support, I am confident that KLTA will elevate Kuala Lumpur’s tourism industry to new heights.

Thank you.

Syed Azhar Syed Nadzir
President 2024-2026

    About KLTA

The Kuala Lumpur Tourism Association (KLTA) is the oldest tourism industry association in the country. Established in 1963, the KLTA represented most of the industry players in the country at the time. This was because Kuala Lumpur was the main hub of tourism activity in the then newly formed Malaysia. Over the years the industry has grown and developed in all corners of our nation, necessitating more nationalized organizations to meet the requirements of the nationwide industry players.
